Kazakh exporters were informed about new requirements for supplying feed products to China

Enterprises are undergoing re-registration to operate under updated standards

On April 3, a working meeting was held at the Committee for State Inspection in the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan with the participation of industry associations, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Prodcorporation, and export companies. Participants were presented with the updated procedure for supplying feed flour to China, taking into account the revised phytosanitary requirements of the General Administration of Customs of the PRC, and were provided with detailed explanations of the new regulations.

According to the ministry, due to changes in Chinese requirements, Kazakh enterprises are being re-registered for a new type of product — a feed mixture consisting of 80% wheat and 20% barley. Currently, 27 out of 96 domestic enterprises have been included in the register of the General Administration of Customs of China, while applications for the remaining companies have been submitted. The acceptance of documents for exporting the feed mixture will continue until April 9, 2026, inclusive.

It was explained during the meeting that the changes are procedural in nature and aimed at systematizing supplies in accordance with international standards, which will ensure export stability in the long term.

It was also noted that the Ministry of Agriculture is taking measures to support companies whose products were shipped before the new requirements came into force. The ministry is facilitating the accelerated passage of cargo across the border to prevent delays and congestion at checkpoints.
